lyrics

From far away it’s a vast expanse
Of land that meets the sky
But up close is a stream in the coulee
And plenty of places to hide

From far away I can see your face
Clear as the moonlight
But up close your face is a desert
You’ve given up the fight

Oh barren land
Dig your wells deep into the earth
Oh, water from
Deep inside will bring you back to life

You’re looking back on days past
When life was a generous soul
But since then it’s offered you nothing
But you haven’t given your all

Oh barren land
Dig your wells deep into the earth
Oh, water from
Deep inside will bring you back to life
Oh, lift your eyes
To the sky to where your help comes from
Oh, let your soul
Be revived and let your heart be light

With deeper honesty and a renewed effervescence, Lauren Mann is taking herself and her music back to her roots and creating authentic art. ... more
